Pioneer Program Mormon Tabernacle Choir

Just got back from the performance of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir doing their Pioneer Program. It was fantastic! They are so amazing. They did all the best hits of the last 100 years including Battle Hymn of the Republic, Hallelujah Chorus, 76 Trombones, and Come, Come Ye Saints. I got really emotional on their rendition of Amazing Grace. It started with four bagpipers with the melody then the choir started in after a little while. It took me back to Scotland, my ancestors home. I so wish I could go to Scotland with my husband and do research on my family. We were the McDuffs.

The Prophet/President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints was there, President Monson. He gave a short talk about the choir and how amazing it is. I TOTALY AGREE! I hope to some day get to sing with them as a member or as a guest like Sissel.

Oh you Blue Eyes!

Okay. I’m not very familiar with Frank Sinatra. I know, I know, how can I not be familiar with Blue Eyes and be a singer? Well, somehow I managed to totally missed that gravy train! But I digress…So I was looking for music that was really popular in the 50s and 60s and he kept coming up. I went through the list and started listening to his songs and HOLY COW! I love him!!

This is my favorite song and I wanted to share that with you guys.

I’m going to be putting together a show for music from the 50s and 60s and I’m defiantly going to be using his wonderful songs!
